Rising career opportunities in Botanical Garden

A botanical garden is a center of collection of living plants maintained for both pure and applied research
Botanical gardens deals with research on plants of medicinal horticulture and other economic interests.
There are about 140 Botanical gardens in India, out of which about 75 Indian Botanical Garden are enlisted in Botanical Survey of India.
Botanical Survey of India (BSI) was the first organization established in 1980 with the basics goals of  florist surveys, sponsored by Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, and will manage botanic gardens all over India. It is actively engaged in the ex-situ conversation through its chain of Botanic gardens established in different regional circles.
Various certificate, diplomas, under graduate and post graduate degree available in botany, aromatic plants etc. Different option are there in research and teaching, institution as botanical assistant, scientific assistant.  M.Sc and Ph.D degree in botany can help in  taking up research/teaching as an career with.
